How to prepare my vehicle for Detailing Service

What should i do to prepare my car for a mobile detailing service?

Preparing your car for a mobile detailing service helps ensure the detailer can work efficiently and deliver the best results. Here's a simple checklist you can share with your customers or use personally:

How to Prepare Your Car for Mobile Detailing

1. Remove Personal Items

  • Take out valuables, electronics, coins, bags, and loose items from the interior, trunk, and door pockets.

  • This allows the detailer to clean all areas thoroughly.

2. Leave the Car Accessible

  • Park in an open, flat space with room for the detailer to work around the vehicle.

  • If detailing is happening in your driveway or garage, clear nearby obstacles.

3. Provide Access to Power/Water (if required)

  • Some mobile detailers bring their own water and power, but confirm if they’ll need access to an outdoor outlet or hose.

4. Unlock All Doors and Compartments

  • Ensure the technician can access the glove box, trunk, fuel cap area, and back seats.

5. Inform of Any Problem Areas

  • Let the detailer know about specific concerns (e.g. stains, pet hair, odors, scratches) so they can focus on what matters most to you.

6. Keep Pets Away

  • Ensure pets are kept indoors or away from the work area for their safety and to avoid interference.
